Points for the measurement of the ground water are established in order to gain information about the size, the spatial distribution as well as the temporal variability of the potential of the groundwater or the pore water pressures in the substratum as well as the quality of the groundwater.
Groundwater measurements can be realised by means of closed or open measuring points.
